Why?

Can you spot them all?

The left caption translates to 'pocket' and 'monster'. The right caption is an excerpt from the Kojiki, one of Japan's oldest written works from the early 700s. The line translates to 'I vow that I shall catch'.

Created in the modern shin-hanga style by artist Jed Henry / Ukiyo-e Heroes, which was dominant in the early 1900s at the peak of Japanese woodblock technique. Shin-hanga prints are known for their intricate realism, and require many dozens of impressions with hand-carved wood blocks.

This collectible shadowbox art piece measures 12" x 15 1/2" x 2 1/2" and comes ready to hang with an official Jed Henry Certificate of Authenticity (COA) signed by the artist in an open edition.

Each piece is printed on 1/8” thick optical-grade acrylic with vibrant UV cured inks and set in a high quality finished MDF wood frame, our shadowbox art pieces are handcrafted in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
